since the 8th of May 2002 there have been 178176 clicks and £8183.92 donated
thanks to you, friends and other forums

(total: Clicks so far: 1,682,851 ; Total donated: £92,340.04 )
In all the software I now write I put this link in my about box.
Damn, it's down to .04 p again, Microsoft jumped boat again
blah blah blah = blah^3
Its down to 0.0p now. A bit pointless donating while its like that!!! Keep an eye out for when its back up.
To be fair to the companies (and it is hard with M$), it is not their fault that the donation is at 0.00p.
As a life supporter to the NSPCC, I enquired (moaned) that the amount varied so much and as such many people felt it was pointless to return daily to the site.
Each company involved pledge a specfic amount, say 100,000 as a donation. This is paid up front to the NSPCC. For each click, this amount is then reduced by 0.02 until it reaches 0. This then terminates they obligation until the NSPCC, the company or another body notices this and a new contract for sponsorship can be drawn up.
It is a measure of the success of the click for free scheme that the amounts pledged are running so quickly.
The NSPCC thanks you for the continued support of the scheme and please continue to visit the site.
