    Hey !
I'm a bit late on this one ...
I found that before on www.surfboard.digitallinx.com, but they seem to be down just now ( wonder why ), and i didn't write anything down, nor downloaded some stuf ... sniff ....

And .. I would like to give it now a try !
Just for the fun, not to stay online at new spped without paying 4 it ... really ...

Anyway ... i'd just like to see these famous jpg files with the settings on'em !

    tftpd32settings.jpg
    tftpd32before.jpg
    tftpd32after.jpg

    That could help (i think !) ...

If someone could post a link quickly ...

2 things... someone said NTL don't log how much you download - thats complete bull tbfh dunno where your friend got that info from but NTL have a 1gig a day cap which can be seen in there T&C near the bottom and if they have a cap = they can see how much you download... also manic said about how "adsl is shit" that totally depends on your ISP I've had a 2meg adsl with bulldog and its cheaper and faster than blueyonder's cable version I had for a year or two ..

Maybe it depends on regional services.

I have had 1mb NTL line for over 2 years and I ain't no lite user and downloads could go on non-stop for days....so far, I don't see any capping on daily download.

the cap is a soft limit not a hard limit, you suddenly won't find yourself without service if you go over the limit

right im a new member on here but ive had my sticky fingers in cable modems 4 ages uncappin is very dangerous yes the cc's can quite quickly trace u as uncapping works by stealing bandwidth from other modems on your node so when peeps start phonin up n*l/tw sayin their broadband is runnin slow the cc will do a check on your node then go through the task of tracing ya. Now the interestin bit u can clone a cable modems mac address onto another modem. it works by usin a prog that scans the dhcp server for mac address' then u clone a modem that has the fastest config onto your existin modem (FFS dont play with ya subbed modem buy an n*l120/200 off ebay as these r the easiest to hack if u want more info pm me) the cc's dhcp server then recognizes the mac address an sends the appropriate config 2 that modem

so in tw areas u can get a nice 4mb connection an n*l ares get a not so bad 3mb an the cc have no real way of tracing u
