I would say Zulu but I could change my mind at any time (depending on my mood) to The Exorcist, Quadrophinia or even Porkys.
Also check out Battle Royale.
is battle royle the film about the japanese. dead gory one which was banned
Yep thats the one it isnt that gory its more the fact that the killing is schoolies v schoolies and very casual violence.

i reckon the greatest film ever made is The Matrix.......
the effex are bench mark, the story line is amazing (if a tad stolen) and it has made such a big impression on all groups of people..........
all that on top of the fact that the cast was piss poor. Keanu Reeves, Damo from home and away, the teacher from hart break high, Kat from hartbreak high.........now they are the last set of faces you would like to see in this kind of movie (or any movie come to that) but the wachowskis still pulled it of, because of how great the actual film as a whole is.
thats why it gets my vote for best movie of all time.
my favourite is pulp fiction tho.

If matrix isnt tops then its certainly 1 of em. U sure u takin bout the same matrix as the rest of us Benny?
EM.
goodfellas pure and simple, amazing acting from so many, amazing direction, camera work, editing, audio (listen out for background conversiations on the dvd, you can here other wiseguys discussing shit in the background in the club scenes!) and all running of a fantastic script at a fantastic pace.
as for matrix, dont think it has revolutionary effects, relatively simple bluescreen work, with a few wires and a very good, but overused camera rig effect, liked the story though and it was one hell of a good demo disk for makin me m8s jelous of me system and anoying the neighbours, then again das boot really loud realy confused them
i have no doubt in 20 years time matrix will be known as a classic but i wouldn't say it was old enough yet, they reckon matrix 2+3 will have effects that will be so good they'll never be repeated ........bring it on i say
goodfellas ruled, must be one of the most underated films ever.
aliens(2nd one) must be best sci-fi horror ever.
Spaghetti Western's for the postive role models and attention
to social issues.

here`s my 2 penny`s worth......
the matrix (nice effects)
the wild geese (classic richard burton/roger moore)
pulp fiction (exellent storyline)
chippy
I also change my mind pretty much at the same speed as movies come out. But one that I remember well, and it gave a sensation of brilliance, was The Shawshank Redemption, I really liked this movie, 5 out of 5 smilies from me.
“If I asked you to have sex with me, would the answer to that question be the same as the answer to this question?”
pulp fiction all the way, sheer class.
cos bacon tastes good, porkchops taste good.
DJ
I was touched by Jesus, so i had him arrested.
The brat pack movies : St elmos fire, breakfast club, pretty in pink, somekind of wonderful...........to name a few.
Plus an all time classic comedy Blazing Saddles.
brave heart nothing else comes close a pure quality movie in a time when if we couldnt rule them we shaged them lol
:  :bleh: :rolls:
