as raptor says, please only do this if you are having problems.

If your drive is reading your chosen media OK then you're askin for trouble by adjusting it.

If you cant get a certain media to work that other people say is fine, then go for it !

just a thing if you get a real crap dvd drive in xbox can you change it for a different one ie one out of pc

no you cannot... one of the connectors is different and has the eject etc in

I have an ex****** chip (think its called something like that)

Installed and worked first time needs no tweaking, no probs loading i ahve bout 15 copied games tested on it, plays imports the lot works fine. so guess i was the lucky 1 to have decent dvd drive.

Ok i just my xbox and i tried some of the cd-rs they said at xbox-scene.com should work but it didnt after serval times so i think i got a cheap version of the dvd-rom drive. Also sometimes tony hawk 3 and music wont load, it says unregonized disc format or something like its make sure its undamaged or clean. But tony hawk is new no scrathces nothing it works sometimes and other times it doesnt so should i be able to return it to the store(Best Buy) i bought it at for free so i can get another one?
