Going from Blacksn0w to official unlock?
My friend has unlocked there iphone 3GS using blacksn0w, but now they would like to get the official unlock from O2 so they do not need to worry about upgrading the firmware.
They just got the text message from O2 saying it is unlocked and to connect to iTunes with a different sim card.
Has anyone done it this way? If they connect to iTunes will they get the official unlock or will the fact they have blacksn0w installed cause problems?

i uninstalled blacksn0w then put in the non o2 sim and connected to iTunes. Few mins later it was done.

if he/she is really paranoid just get him/her to do a DFU restore - that will remove the jailbreak and blacksn0w fully
