Advice - HDD swapping with unbanned modded console

Hi all. I have an unbanned but modded (so therefore probably banned if online) 360 sitting here doing nothing. I have a legit Elite downstairs. I have a bundle of unplayed games. Am I safe to put my legit HDD into the modded xbox (which is most definitely NOT online) and play games? Will it corrupt anything? And can I add to my gamerscore?

im in the same boat - i have the same profile on both consoles, one prob banned but not been on, and one legit.
i was wondering whether if i update my gamerscore by keeping my profile on a memory card swapping between the two there would be any repercussions

I have been swapping back and forth for years with my hdd between a modded/banned console and a legit one with no problems (touch wood)

...but my mate had his banned whilst the hdd was attached to his and now none of his gamerpoints count on his profile and none of the gamesaves work, so i would be wary.

yeah i know that will happen - but thats only when a console is banned and they fk up the nand.
my modded one been offline since bans started as i dont want to lose hd install feature.
its a risk whatever u do.

It'll be fine as long as you don't attempt to go online with your modded console, trust me i made the mistake . Like a plonker i plugged mine in just because i was tempted to see if my modded console had actually been banned and of course it was! When i switched my drive back on to my legit console it corrupted my profile And yes i feel like an idiot!

So as long as the modded console never goes online, I should be ok, but its a risk. Have to figure out now if I'm willing to take it!

Its no risk. As long as the modded one has not been banned the. Going from one to the other will be fine. However should you have a '09 banned console then as soon as a gamertag leaves it all the stuff gets fucked and of course u loose any points etc when you plug it back i to the live console.

If that is the case, before you plug it back into the live console you need to hook the Xbox hdd up to a pc, extract your profile with xplorer or similar and run the con flag remover app, there was a whole thread in here about it not so long back, the. Copy the clean profile back to the hdd and put it in your live box and sync all your progress. This is something your have to do every time your gamertag leAves the banned console.

So in short - if it's not banned, never connect it and your be fine. If it is, get yoursf a hdd kit the 'unfuck' process literally takes 2 min and is simple as. Pm me if needed
