    Default Headphone Advice for Iphone

Finally got me a new iphone upgrade and its coming friday so i can finally get rid of my ancient jailbroken 2g that rap got for me when they first got released.

im after a nice set of headphones, pref in ear ones. been looking at skullcandy stuff and they look good.

i have small ears so i usually find in-ear ones un-comfortable after 20 mins or so of wearing them, so without any prior experience i dont know what will be best for comfort and sound quality, i want good headphones and i like the look of the skullcandy range, and im sick of buying £5 sets for them to be uncomfortable and lacking in sound quality.

    anyone got any recomendations?

I would heartily recommend the Griffin Tunebuds mobile. They have the all important mic/clicker button (insanely useful for skipping tracks without having to take phone out of your pocket), nylon tangle-free cord and most places are clearing them out for about 12 squid (I paid 30 a year ago). I use these every day and they are still as good as new.

Not in ear ones but I just got some sennheiser ones from play.com, they are the dogs danglees!!! Reduced to £16.79 at the moment so a real bargain! I can't access to get a link at the mo, have a look on their sale page in electronics and click the headphone tab.

    Cheers, matt.

I've got the Bose in ear headphones with a mic and they are excellent.

    Well worth the cash.

Mate there are two versions of the Griffin Tunebuds, one with the mic/clicker button (either called the Tunebuds mobile or Tunebuds 4 iPhone) and the other without. Looking on Play.com it looks like you got the one without the mic/clicker. This is the one you need. Hope it ain't too late to cancel... unless you wanted the standard one.

There are Sennheiser in-ear ones from Amazon, think it is the CX300 (from memory). About the same price and are simply stunning for the money.

Some people seem to hate them but I am on my second pair in 3 1/2 years.

For reference there is no mic or buttons for skip but for the price the sound quality can't be beaten.

Also, don't get them off eBay, get them direct from Sennheiser/Amazon as there are a load of poor quality fakes around which sound awful (and is probably the reason why some people don't rate them, they don't know they have fakes).

nice find.. that opens up the playing field a little more, as i wanted the mic thing for answering calls while listening to tunes.. means i havnt got to find an intergrated one now.

im liking the shure rang and the snheiser ones dont seem to be rated so well.. but i also like the "look" of the skullcandy range. will see after a few more days trawling around for a good enough bargain.

if you've ever used any decent earbuds, you will know that the CX300's are toilet and most of them are FAKE. The higher end sennheisers are good but again, there's tonnes of fakes about (especially amazon marketplace)

If you dont mind spending money, get some klipsch s4i. If you want budget get some soundmagic PL-11 (£20) they are amazing and I choose them over my denons and shures every day.

I use them with a mic/clicker extension lead that i got off ebay which turns them into a handsfree headset too.
