Seems to need a bit of time to warm up....
Happy days.
crashtestmac, It will also be effected by people who are using the mast for phone calls etc.
It works in the ladder of this:
1. Video Calls
2. Phone Calls.
3. Text Messages/MMS
4. Mobile Broadband
So it could slow down alot when lot's of people are on phones etc.
Nice..
I do not think that i will use it much at all to be honest it was more an out of interest thing. Would be nice to have it working with either o2 or Three in the summer when we are away in the caravan....
Owt is better than nowt...!
works well good for d/l nzb files at work then plugging into network and d/l from "the server"
anyone needing sims, just go into your local store, they will give you handfulls. I had my upgrade just before xmas and they gave me a carrier bag on the way out that had about 10 in !
No registration needed at all, my sim was sealed before it went in the dongle. I've been getting the three standard sms's through on the globe software too, to remind me to top up etc.

Can you connect to the 3 Network?
Once connected, go to Chrome options and add a Proxy on that connection and all should fall into place.

Is this hack still working for anyone this evening. Three has almost died here ?
1. Click on the spanner in Chrome and select Options
2. Go to Under the Bonnet tab and click on Change proxy settings
3. Click on the Three connection
4. What now?
5 Settings
6 Tick the Use Proxy Server box
7 Add the Proxy 217.64.228.209 port 80
8 Advanced Tick Use the same proxy for all protocols Http Secure and FTP should all be the same as above and thats it.
Would the following command work in a cmd prompt?
netsh winhttp set proxy [myproxy]:[myport]

danthescan, I cant get it to work under chrome even with your tutorial..
still working fine here, might try the chrome method also to see if it improves anything, but to be honest it's fast enough to browse and download the odd small files.. ..and FREE!
Give it a go,i don't think its a great deal faster, but its easier to use as you just connect and then launch Chrome.Plus no other connection settings are changed,so wireless and ethernet are not affected,
