Children of Dune

Not sure whether to put this under TV or movies but since it's like over 4 hours long thought I'd drop it in here..

This is the new Sci-Fi version of Children of Dune, carrying on from Dune a couple of years ago..

I've never read the book so can't comment on whether this was faithful, but it stands up alright on it's own.

Basically this one picks up 12 years after the last one and tell's the story of the kids of Paul Atriedes / Muad'Dib - and also of his sister Alia - they've got good genes cos the birds are as fit as f00k

Seems to drag a bit more than the last one at times but they've got to get the story across without cutting too much.. Everyone seems to be more relaxed this time around and the actings better than the first one..

Effects are alright, better than normal for a TV series but not really up to spec of most movies but the budget's lower anyway...

If you're a fan of the Dune series then you'll probably enjoy this one...

Yeah, it aired on the 16, 17 & 18 March in the US..

Should be coming this way soon (probably after the DVD's soon).

Believe me though, these birds are better!!!
