    Monday 5 July 2010

    Falkland Oil and Gas Limited
    ("FOGL" or "the Company")

Further Update on Toroa F61/5-1 Exploration Well Spud

FOGL, the oil and gas exploration company focused on its extensive licence areas to the South and East of the Falkland Islands, announced on 1 June 2010 that the Toroa F61/5-1 exploration well had spudded on Monday 31 May. The well is being drilled to an estimated target depth of circa 2,700 metres. The Toroa prospect is located in Licence PL15, in which FOGL has a 49% interest.

As previously announced, the Company had been expecting to announce preliminary results of the well during this week; however, there have been some further delays due to some minor operational issues and weather related downtime.

FOGL now expects to announce the preliminary results of the Toroa F61/5-1 well during the week commencing Monday 12 July 2010.

Got in about 3 weeks ago at 375p, it hit 295p, but now looks like it is only heading one way (here is hoping they plug their leak now!).

something very strange happening with FOGL - hit a duster, went down to 97p, and now flightinh between 8-10% everyday and back up to near £1.40 - dead cat bounce?

Pre hype, it was sitting steady between 120-140, before the big hike during the drill, so really it's just bouncing back to it's pre drill value. Bearing in mind that this was one of their smaller prospects, anyone who believes that there is oil down there will be topping up their holdings.

Come their next drill, they will be pushing on for 300p pre result RNS (as i'm assuming RKH will have confirmed commerciality) and someone else (whether it be RKH or DES) will have struck again by then.

Oh well, looks like no more drilling until 2011

DPL are down 36% at the moment so may be worth a punt either for the future as this well was always speculative or just in the hope of a similar bounce to fogl

Not sure if anyone bought into RKH but they have found oil and it flows - share price currently sitting at 470 a share, and they are looking to move from aim to FTSE. When i first posted this, they were circa 40p a share - gutted i didnt buy then - bought it later at £3. Hopefully the rest of the oillies strike it lucky - if they did i can imagine an Argentinian war brewing!
