At a seminar organised by the Digital TV Group (DTG) in London, 3D HDTV technology dominated the floor.

This might have been because broadcasters and equipment manufacturers are worried about missing the boat or just the general excitement of a new platform being launched.

All eyes and ears were on the chief engineer from BSkyB, Chris Johns, as he began to offer some ideas on how this new 3D HDTV technology would be rolled in the UK.

In fact it turns out that BSkyB started testing the technology around 18 months ago.

Since then 3D HDTV has taken the world by storm, especially following the success of the hit film Avatar.

There appears to a problem with 3D HDTV, to do with the positioning of text on the screen, which still needs to be ironed out.
