Email & password for Gamertag

HI in the last ban wave both me and my son got hit I recovered my gamertag and fixed my offline 360 so I can swap between it and my unmodified one.

I have just fixed my son's 360 to get HDD install back and he wants to recover his gamertag this is where the problem starts he's forgot what email and password he used for his gamertag is there any way of finding it out bearing in mind his profile is corrupt!

He didn't use hotmail or MSN I think he was about 10 when we set it up. We wrote down the email and password and I told him to keep it safe but he's lost it, what a surprise.

My lad had something like this a couple of years back. I think he rang the call centre who asked him some questions and got him reset. Not sure so I will ask him when he get's home from school

Yes he was also on the naughty boy boy list.

well technically recovering your gamertag has no relevance to anything else you do on there so i wouldnt worry about it, if they say anything (which i seriously doubt) then just say your using a new box since the old one was faulty, just dont mention the ban

sorry just re-read the first post I can uncorrupt that profile for you, if you dont have a HDD connectivity kit then you can take the SATA drive out and connect it direct

No and I dont think we will. My son for some reason has deleted his corrupt profile and he can't remember anything about his account other than his gamertag.

m$ will not give any info out other than the gamertag, one of my sons took hdd off while it was still switched on lost every thing, i thought i knew the email to recover the tag but it wasn't right my son was upset over 17000 score. i set my sons up with their own names and thought i did the same for 1 of them in there email turns out it wasn't right. phoned m$, on phone for at least hour i had all right apart from the first part of the email ***********atyahoo.co.uk the woman gave me a clue to what is was but not by saying here is a clue she kept saying "how you say chicken" every other 20 seconds it clicked about 5 mins later that i used my sons nick name for the email
