taken to seriously..........does anyone seriously think that united wont win at OT in the return leg..........of course they will.

it would be nice if they didnt.

    who knows.......

if united failed to get CL football this year, and then again next year, they would then have to sell as they are a PLC, there dominance would subsequently come to an end.........

    the end is nigh.....

We all know they will win the 2nd league, piss poor if they don't. It was so nice to see them get beat, even sweeter that it was at the death of the game.

When have Man.u ever done it the easy way in europe. As I have said before if you don't take your chances and drop bollocks you lose in the C/L its as simple as that. Keano love him or hate him hit the nail on the head when he said perhaps some of the players have lost their desire it was certainly eveident in last nights performance. Its not over yet so the shite about our demise is slightly premature me-thinks.......................

Agreed - it's still only a pre-season game, and I fully expect them to turn over the Hungariians at the snooze palace (Sorry, theatre of dreams).

Some teams are out of the blocks and running, some take a couple of games. I reckon they'll stick 3 or 4 past them at OT

We continued where we left off last season, we where SHITE

As for Veron he didn't look too bad, stuck a few nice passes together, Beckham just didn't get into the game, overall we looked like a team without plan B, we are so predictable and other teams coach's are latching on to this.

Hopefully we will have woken up in a fortnights time, it seems we have to do it the hard way again.

Shut the fcuk up you guys!!!

Had Arsenel or Liverpool finished third last season, it would have been a good season, but because we did, oh NO SHOCK HORROR, we are SHITE!!!!

I think the others expect more from United, than the actual fans do!!!

    Remember 1999?!!!!!

Well there's more to come! Watch this space!!!

Lol I reckon they will get through easy and I hope they do. I am the only one that loves to see all British teams (including the scots) do well in Europe, I think it reflects well on British football. I loved it when Leeds got to the semi-final it was a real treat (I love an underdog) coz they progressed playing good football. One fo my favourite matches of the 1999 season was when Man U beat Bayen it was a totally exciting match and I love smug arrogance getting punished (you should wait till the final whistle to celebrate). I can't wait to see how Newcastle are going to fair this season.

    Umm!

Newcastle will finish above the Scousers and the double winners of last season (ARSE-NUTS).

Like to see we have somebody apart from United fans that is happy or should I say was happy for United when we beat the Germans in the Champs League!!!!!

    Good on yer Whitesteel!!!

   - A reastic Manc fan??

I don't think that anyone disputes that ManU have a great team, but other teams are catching them up. The top three will be the same teams as last season, but in a different order. Senile Bob has done well but the Geordies need to develop a big squad like Liverpool and the Arse have been doing for the last 4/5 years.

Its way to early to judge who will come where at the end of the season...........

All I can say is Alex Ferguson must have given his team a hell of a half time talk when they were playing against Chelsea.

I think part of the problem with united is that Fergie is still there, I don't think he is capable of giving them hell now as effectively as he used to be able to because familarity breeds contempt. He has asembled a team that have personalities as strong if not stronger than him.

I remember reading a story about Fergie when he was at Aberdeen and during one match he was so angry at half time that he kicked a pair of underpants that were on the floor and they landed on a players head. The player was so intimadated by Fergie that he just sat there with the pants still on his head because he was frightened to take them off. It is hard to imagine him inspiring that sort of fear at Man U now.

Think there is only so much shouting a player will listen to till they cut off......

Obviously the Man Utd players want to win, but to have a manager that works with them is probably better.

Hence why I think Arsenal have done fairly well to date.

Fair point terrifying players is a bit old school and I agree about arsenal but I also feel that arsenal suffer in other ways from Wengers approach (in the discipline department particularly).
