hard drive format 32

does anyone kno how to format a 500 gig hard drive to fat 32 which is the format off a usb stick as i wish to use it on a usb port on a dvd player

You need to call it via a BAT file or CMD prompt. i.e. fat32format X: (where x is the drive)

Can do it from a Mac if you have access to one and probably any unix system as well.

As already said any Mac or Linux distro will do this for you.
I'd download and use Parted Magic, it runs from USB or CD and is a handy boot disc to have.

Iirc, my computer, right click on drive, properties, click hardware tab, then right click on the drive you are looking for and click properties, then policiess tab, then if you change the enable write caching option, this should give you the missing options in the windows format dialogue box.
