    Default **FREE** iLocalis type app. Cerebro

    Arrived on cydia today. Does much of what iLocalis does but no sub to pay. Does push messaging and location updates which seem very accurate and has the feature that you can force the iPod app to play a song so you can hear the position when you're close. Ideal for those back-of-the-sofa moments

    This is interesting
    Server Control
    If you are still not sure about trusting your data to the Cerebro servers, then you do have the ability to change where the data is sent. Here is how.
    Click the Cerebro iPhone Properties link
    Change the URL property to your server. A proper value for URL would be
    http://ifindmyiphone.com/recordTheValue.php
    Your server script will need to accept these GET variables
    ID=iPhoneIdentification (40 characters)
    LATITUDE= double (number in degrees)
    LONGITUDE= double (number in degrees)
    ALTITUDE= double (number in degrees)
    ACCURACY= double (number in meters)
    Shouldn't be too difficult to setup a private server

    its good that its free but has a lot less features than Ilocalis for eg. The Ilocalis Deamon forces your phone to turn on if its switched off.Also the abilty to remote lock/wipe, and to be able to remotely fully control your iphone to text and make calls and best of all the moment you change sims on your Iphone you are notified to another desinated phone of the new number.
    Ilocalis is well worth the £12 or £5for the basic

    I paid for iLocalis and on reflection I half regret it as my iPhone is one of the later ones and on a tethered jb. Obviously if the power goes it's never gonna get started up again unless found by someone in the know.
    Ooh, ooh, ooh, the funky gibbon.

    i took it off after a few days too. It wasn't too bad after i'd edged the updates out a bit but I just decided I wouldnt use it much so it's gone. Might go back to it at some point though and will keep an eye on the future features.
