British tv on my PC in spain

Hey guys
Im in spain and the weather is terrible! Whats that program/batch file that lets you watch british tv streamed via VLC to your pc?

Can't for the life of me remember what its called.

Cant you watch bbc iplayer or tv catch up and use a firewall program that fools them into thinking your in the uk, cant remeber what the software is called tho

yep its all restricted. But there was a command line util I found out about on here about 6 months ago which streamed all free to air. Ah, what was it ??

Unfortunately the service (J@ck TV) has been down and out since late last year. I'm in the same bind as the OP, iPlayer recognises my foreign IP and won't let me stream anything. The only reliable solution I know of is a paid for UK proxy.

would running it through anything like the onion router (tor) sort out the problem? I know its an anonymizer but it should hide the geo ip and let you through id have thought if it doesnt you could always use something like hotspot shield from http://www.anchorfree.com/ it sorts all the geo ip proxys for you and gives you a US proxy so you could watch tv from sites like hulu that geo ip blocks people like iplayer does, it wouldnt give you british tv but 90% of whats on here is from the US

if your machine is on at home you could always vpn into it and watch iplayer, itv player etc but if its not or you dont have any vpn sw on it, it wouldnt work
