    Default Contact Service On 3310

    Hi all

    I have got a 3310 with CONTACT SERVICE on screen
    I have tested it in eeprom tools and it said COBBA PARALLEL TEST FAILED

    Can this be repaired ???

    Yes and no

    If MAD2 is faulty and not communicating with cobba properly, or a pad is off under cobba, no.

    If cobba is dry, a reflow will fix it

    If it is faulty, a replacement followed by a rebuild will fix it.

    Hi,

    Wouldn't try replacing it mate, chances are you'll kill the phone totally!

    Too true - I meant replacing cobba could fix it, not that it could be done by the hobbyist.

    You need to be able to rebuild the imei and SIM lock data afterwards, but fitting a cobba isn't really that much of a big deal.

    This has happened to my 3210. It happened straight away after trying to use a free vodafone smcs off a website? Does anyone think this may be related or just a freak coincidence?
