If you can, I would very much recommend a dual screen set-up. After many years I've finally got round to installing a secondary monitor and it's been fantastic.
The secondary monitor has a slightly less resolution but it still works really well.

nice
escuse my stupidness what do you need to do it
Are they both linked to your pc or is one for the xbox? If they're both linked to your pc use a program called ultramon, excellent program for 2 monitors.
Yep use them at my work its great
Work stuff on one.
Digital Forums on another
You need to have a graphics card that support dual Monitors. (two VGA/DVI)
Windows 98 or above, twin graphics cards, or one capable of dual output.
I've got 2 x 21" crt's, got the main one in 1280*1024 - easy on the eyes for general work, and the other in 1600*1200 for more detailed work.
Wanna replace them with a dell 3008wfp but can't justify spending a grand on one.
3 screens is even better. Got a dual screen graphics card in mine and i've enabled the onboard card as well so I can have three plugged in. Find it useful when i'm doing documents for work

I've used it for so long I dont know how windows works on its own with 2 monitors, with this you can set individual resolutions for each monitor, you have have the windows taskbar on both monitors, move windows to either monitor easily and loads more. Definately worth trying out if you havent and have 2 monitors.
Is that one of those USB Cats?
*EDIT*
Also, is that a Keyboard and Mouse hooked upto the Xbox for MW2...... That's against the law that is!
We all make mistakes sometimes
If you are using a single GFX card, just be careful to work out the pixel rate vs the memory your card has available as you can oversubscribe a card quite easily with hi-res monitors and your GFX will be affected on both screens. I use a card for each monitor to avoid this issue.
"There's nothing worse than arguing with someone who knows what they're talking about...."
It has been shown to improve productivity by up to 30%. It's the only way to work.............
Aye, I also use Ultramon (new version released yesterday).
I have one monitor hooked up to the xbox or PS3 and the other has Outlook, DF, etc.
Or I sometimes have a web editor in one and a live test site on the other. I also RDC or VNC to numerous servers so the extra screen is very handy now.
I bought these monitor arms off of amazon and they are fantastic: Here
I have a nVidia 9600GT which has two DVI ports so I've simply plugged the monitors in to that.
Goldberg, a USB cat would be cheaper to feed! Nah, the chav style blue-LED keyboard and mouse are not hooked up to the Xbox.... good idea though!
one of these would do me LOL
and this looks fuckin awesome, 3 foot wide

Got any links to that - I would love to send them to one of our directors:
We've upgraded our cad users to 26" monitors at my insistence and are recycling their old 19's to people still stuck with 15's. Even though the screens were sourced for what we used to pay for much smaller ones, this director didn't seem too impressed.
I have to agree with this.. even more with 3 monitors.
The fact I don't need to minimize my programs open another program etc. Might seem a bit stupid but all this takes time.. also you can look at something on one screen and check it against another etc.
As overcarl says.. any link to this?
thanks
I have used em for years. Running on the Nvidia you can use the 2nd screen as an extension of your windows screen on your other monitor and moving the mouse across the screen pops up on the other screen where you can have oddles of aps running. Was useful for when we had the radio here as i had the radio running on 1 screen and one the other DF and the various chat rooms. was better than minimizing em all on one screen
also give ultamon a try - it extends the taskbar right across both screens and adds buttons into the top right of each window to either send it over to the other monitor or stretch it over both. Been using 2 monitors at work for years
