Question Win 7 - time to replace v.7100 evaluation copy.

    hi guys

my Evaluation copy of win 7 is running out. I'm looking for a copy to replace it with if you know what i mean.

What's the best way of doing this? A loader or the WAT 2.1 in the sticky?

Edit : well, i've just run RemoveWAT but how do i know it's worked? apart from waiting 14 days till the trial Win7 expires?

Anybody have any recommendations or links please?

go to control panel, then system, at the bottom of the box it should say windows is activated.

Thanks odotcom however when i remove the WAT there is nothing about activation whereas when i restore the WAT it says it's genuine (which it is, just an evaluation copy).

Be interesting to see what happens with this.

Anyone have a link to a good copy of win7 32 bit in the mean time, just in case?

edit: Mmm. In the "about" section of REmovewat it says the 90 day trial iso versions are not supported. Wonder whether this evaluation copy is the same, as it was a 6 months trial.

If it has nothing about activation I think it should be fine.

I can upload a win 7 32bit retail if thats any help, you will need to activate it yourself though.

appreciate the offer mate. I'm intrigued now about this so may wait and see what happens in 14 days time.

Reading about it again, i think you're right.

..."Since RemoveWAT cracks the Windows 7 configuration and removes all instances of WAT from the user’s system, the Windows activation section will also be get removed from the section. This is is first Windows 7 activation crack or WGA patch to be released as of now."

    Looks like i'm ok.
