    Default DM500s fault

I have a problem with my DM500s. The other day during the Man United-AC Milan game the box started to freeze and then started to say moving to 28.2e (it was already on 28.2e). It was near the end of the match so I just put the box into standby and left it. Now when I turn the box on, all I get is a blank screen. The TV says no signal received. I can't put the box into standby, the only way to turn it off is by pulling the power cable out of the back.

Is it fucked? what could be the fault and is it easily fixed (or fixable at all?)

I just spoke to a guy who repairs dreamboxes and he says that the main board is gone so the box is shagged.

Where can I get a new box asap?

I have emailed the guy I bought it from but he's in China. Pretty sure that he will tell me to fuck off (if he even bothers to reply)

    OK, little update.

I bought another box off ebay, it just arrived. I plugged it in using the existing power supply and it came up with the same green light but nothing else. I then connected the new power supply and it booted up. So I then connected the old box to the new power supply and it booted up fine, so it was a power supply fault.

even if the lad from china replied you would of had to send it back (£30) and wait 2 weeks before he sent a new one...

better off getting 1 from england, might cost a bit more but easier to change..

a new power supply shouldnt cost much then you have 2 dm500s to play with
