its a common problem with the 8210's. U need to get the screen replaced. Take it to your nearest nokia service centre and they should do it for u free of charge.

our local market charges £20 to supply and fit. they sell a thing on ebay called and Elastomer, i fitted one to an 8210 about 3 months ago and it had been fine since.

Hi,
To fit the elasotmer you need:
T6 Screwdriver to open phone
Tweesers
Elastomer
A Brain
It's as simple as pulling elastomer from back of screen with tweesers, and replacing it.

far as i know nokia have finaly been forced to addmit its a design fault on the 8210 and as such will now continue to replace it free of charge for the life of the phone as long as you have registered the phone with club nokia. but a word of caution, i've seen queues of people being fobbed off that its "water damage" that has caused the problem, do not accept it, just tell them its their shitty phones and demand they put right their own fault as it breaches the trades descriptions act as being fit for the purpose, you will find that they usualy comply then as nokia realy dont need any more bad publicity, just think how many former 8850 owners now have ericsson t68's instead (in my area the 8210/8250 was the "standard" phone within some communities (usualy on orange), when i took the kids to see that ali g movie almost everyone in the cinema had t68's.
