    use a network card its much faster than usb, also use an operating system that is built on network technology like Win NT or XP.

    There is NO speed differance between USB or Network cards i have used a USB connection between pc/modem for over a year now and have just started to use a network card now, the download and upload speeds are exactly the same.
    Also it is not a dongle you get with your modem it is just a plain USB lead, the ONLY differance is that USB uses more system resources.

    Hi m8

    I have 128 broadband.
    The main pc is running windows mellenium I then have another 2 running mellenium and 1 running 98.

    I go into the main pc via usb I then feed the other pcs via ethernet and a 5 way hub.

    I then loaded sygate from www.sygate.com
    Set the master as the manager and the other pc's as hosts. Set the manager to auto detect and away you go.

    I only have 128 but it is very quick on all pc's even when all four pc's are surfing.

    @Davey
    Glad you are sorted m8, you will be surprised how often this question pops up on many boards.

    I bet 1 meg is like lightning isnt it.

    With my old aol crap, my phone was always engaged and we had to queue up to use the net.

    Bye
