    Default Microsoft Sidewinder gamepads

My friends and I cannot get to sidewinders plugged into each other to work under win2000. I've read elsewhere that this is a known problem but cannot find any fixes for it. Our solution is to network 2 computers and have them plugged into seperate pc's

Its one of the original sidewinder gamepads(not a joystick, no force feedback etc, when the first one is plugged into the computer and the second one is plugged into the first one, in windows 2000 errors occur such as it keeps find new hardware and games crashing.

I have the same old pads (4 of them) because they're still the best for the old school games. I use them all in win2k and never had a problem, so you can rule out blaming the OS itself.

Are you going into the gaming options in control panel and seeing if they will show up there? Hit refresh there. Also make sure the 'mode' indicator stays lit on all the pads when you are connecting them. If they wont come up, theres something else wrong, because win2k can handle them just fine.
