    Default managing hard drive space

Right, i have one hard drive in my games pc and its split into 2 partitions (c=270gb & d= 195gb )

so the piccy shows where i stand at this moment in time lol..

what can i do or use to take some room from D and add it to C ??

windows will allow me to shrink D but not expand C, so i nee another prgm or trick that will do this for me.

nothing else on this pc apart from windows and games and prgms needed for games, xfire, steam, etc etc.

windows 7 X64 is what its running on.

thank you if you can help.

Use a third party partition manager such as Acronis Disk Director or Partition magic to resize the partitions). There is also Paragon Partition Manager 2010 Free Edition which as the name suggests is a freebie. I've not tested it personally but it should do the job.

If its just Steam you can actually move the whole steam directory. There is a guide on how to do it here.

I use the paragon one all the time, it even gets back the 100 meg xp/win7 steals

just make sure you backup your system first

Windows 7 Allows you to change the size of the partitions in the disk management in case you need to change again

did not work for me m8..it let me shrink D but only let me make another partition with the space i had from D, would not let me expand C.
