This idea has been around for as long as the speed traps it hopes to avoid. I would assume it offers some kind of serious reflection that would "white out" the area of the registration plate. How the police could tell your reg plates were made of such a material, I don't know, let alone why the idea never got off the ground. I don't know anyone that has used them, and until I do I can only assume its nothing short of wishful thinking on our parts.

Thats a easy one, if the plates bounce back the flash to whitten off reg, they do the same in car headlights, so a police car behind you could tel you are using this sort of plates :grr:Originally Posted by Hybrid

spraying ur licence plates with hairspray was at one time sed to have the same affect. dont know if this is true or not
as where we live, there are like 17 cameras in the space of 5 miles (no joke) my m8 used to put fake plates ontop of his other ones, just so he could speak like a nut through the road getting every single camera to flash.
unlucky for him, there were some coppers about one night and soon stopped his fun
