    Default Adobe Flash ActiveX Problems.

The missus has a HP DV6-2020AE Laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate installed to it that works superbly except for Adobe Flash Player.

When the computer goes to Youtube/Facebook or any other website that uses flash an error comes up saying Shockwave Flash has crashed.

The Laptop is completely upto date with Windows Update, the newest version of Flash player, but this annoyance is well documented without a fix. Adobe apparently have screwed up Flash 10 and a lot of people are complaining about it.

I've run Malwarebytes (Upto date with a Full Scan) with nothing found.
Microsoft Security Essentials is installed, upto date, with no problems found.

Does anyone know of a way round this that'll make this machine run with flash!?

We've got all 4 browsers installed now and they all do the same (Safari, IE8, Google Chrome & FireFox!)

It was OK up until a couple of hours ago. She plays a lot of the free bingo on Posh Bingo and thats where the problem occurred first.

Got any ideas? Appreciate some input. Ta

maybe try an earlier version of flash? Versiontracker lists 4 different versions of flash 10 --> http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/win/8922

..that google search and explanation of the error are a bit vague too. What else does the error message say?

could also try reinstall from a different location

Ninite.com > Select all flash / java and run time and see if that helps

check your not using 64bit browsers as I dont think Adobe do a 64bit flash plugin (yet).
