this should keep you amused for a shor while

download the proggy attached , plug your scanner into line in on your sound card (earphone out on scanner)

unzip and run the program and set your scanner to the following frequencies

138.07500 nfm
138.15000 nfm
138.17500 nfm

---------------------

153.02500 nfm to 153.50000 nfm in 25 khz steps

a good starting point would be 153.35000 nfm

Can one of you guys assist with setup. I can communicate with the software no problem but the messages displayed are as follows :-

You may have to mess abt with the output volume m8,, as too much or little volume will stop the signals being decoded correctly,, just trial and error.

I've been fartin about for ages and getting nowhere. Is monitor setting supposed to be Pocsag ?

the setting for the frquency 153.35000 nfm is pocsag/flex

you shouldn't really be getting a problem just make sure your volume on the scanner is set ok try messing with the line in volume as well on record
it works fine for me

I use a yupi with an external 'taxi cab' aerial, and on 138.150WFM I get pretty good results.
maybe you need an external aerial, or a different one?
I've found that the volume doesn't make that much difference, just keep it at about 1 third.

I think the same software can be used for Traffic Master POCSAG
transmittions. Anyone know anything about this ?

I would be interested in writting some thing to emulate a traffic
master devise if so.

: crazy to think people still use pagers for that.

Can someone tell me the name of the pocsag decoding software?, i have a few but they all require building a small interface, none work straight from the headphone socket.
