hi, I ran a spiderman: the movie backup on my ps2 and it just spins too fast- especially when saving the game. It sounds like my ps2 is gunna explode if it carrys on doing it.
Any advice?

CD-R games just tend to spin really fast and make lots of sound, but DVD-R games are a lot quieter, I found out that on my machine the better quality CD-R you use the quieter the game is, because with my pressed copies they spin at about 1,000,000 RPM! Which is really annoying, but when I copy them to Sony CD-R's they are A LOT quieter!
will this damage my ps2 in the long run ? quicker than a slow spinning game
thanks for the reply domain28
No, I don't think this should damage your PS2 in the long run if you use good quality media like Verbs or Sony, but if you don't use good quality media then you're gonna need a new laser after a while, so just burn your discs slowly (1x or 2x) and use good quality media (Sony, Verbs, etc) and your PS2 should keep you happy for a long time to come!
