ok, i have a dual boot going [win2k and XP pro] but i can boot into XP anymore.
yesturday i had a problem when booting win2k, i got something like 'windows 2000 cannot start, winnt/system32... is missing or corrupt, use windows 2000 cdrom to recover'
i did, it worked.
today i try booting up XP and now im getting a similar error 'windows 2000 cannot start, windows/system32/config/systemd is missing or corrupt, use windows 2000 cdrom to recover' and it LOCKS.
why is it still trying to boot win2k? when i look in my d: [where xp is installed] theres folders and everything BUT the files [boot.ini, io.sys, pagefile.sys, etc] are gone. all those files are in c: [where win2k is installed] though. i noticed when i saw i somehow gained 500 MB [pagefile.sys size] on my d drive any thoughts?
EDIT: ok i fixed it, had to copy ntldr and ntdetect.com from my xp cd to my c:/
