When I click play the game freezes for me with my radeon 8500! So maybe this problem doesn't have to do with his video card.
yea, mine freezes too, i dont know, but i will prolly ask for a new video card for christmas, weather i get it or not, i will prolly but the ati 9700, my comp just has a black screen and freezes, i tried that ini file u said and its not working still, dunno, still need help, thx
Hey try updating to direct x 8.1b dude. That is what the readme says for ut2003. That may work for you.

i actaully got into the menu without freezing, but when i first enter the game there is no video, i just here music, so i press the escape key and then forfiet, everyhting works fine, i then go to instant action, choose any type of game, and click play, the menu then goes to loading, and the music stops, and my comp freezes there, im dling the Direct x 8.1b now, even tho i think i have it, im going to try that, i dont know wtf is wrong, becuase in the readme it says voodoo 5 works with a few minor flaws, then how could voodoo 5 not work if voodoo 3 does? anyways, i have tried all the settings and tried benchmarking it in the sysytem folder of ut demo, but it says temporary file currupt, could this b my problem? i dled the demo off of nvidias site, maybe i should dl the demo off of a diff site that actaully has the 97mb exe file, nvidia has 5 files about 20mb each, so if the direct x dont work, ill try dling that demo 97mb, if that dont work, im fresh out of ideas, i also had a bit of problems with the 1942 demo, but got it resolved, anyways, could this honstly b the end of my voodoo card? i know its old, but now is it at the point where i will have trouble running ANYTHING? but again, if voodoo 3 can run this , i dont get it, my specs are :

Bubben, maybe with a voodoo 5 6000, but that's REALLY rare to come across, it has 4 fans on it, 128mbs. I have a 5500, dual fans, doesn't run games too good, performance is a tad under a geforce 2 GTS...heh.
