Can't connect to xbox with Flashfxp

I'm having real trouble connecting to my xbox using Flashfxp.

I'm using these settings :

xbox : static ip : 192.168.0.2
Subnetmask : 255.255.255.0
DefaultGateway : 192.168.0.1

PC : ip : 192.168.0.1
subnetmask : 255.255.0


When I try to connect with Flashfxp it sits there saying "connecting to xbox" then times out. The strange thing is, when I'm not connected to the internet it gives me the message "no route to host" so I think I might not have set up the network card properly (never installed one before).

I'm using the newest version of evo-x which is loading from my hard disk.

Anyone any ideas what I'm doing wrong ?

dont use static - let it set itsefl to auto - give that a try first just to make sure you have a sound connection

you are using twisted pair arent you ? (or thru a hub) ?

I'm using a crossover cable straight from the network card to the xbox.

I switched off static and got :

IP : 0.0.0.0
Line Status : 100/ Full Duplex

One of the guides said to use winipcfg to get the IP address of the NIC, when I run it the only thing that shows up is the PPP adaptor so I'm fairly sure I've not set up the network card right.

Got it sorted, uninstalled my adsl modem and NIC. Re-installed the NIC first and it showed up in winipcfg.

Connected to the xbox first time
