get a chip, xecuter is the easiest to fit (at the mo) and i'm not aware of any major developments just round the corner. My advice, get the chip, enjoy it, if it's out of date in a few months, change it/reflash/whatever. To play div-x movies you're gonna need the media player ( i think it's up to b6 or thereabouts)

Sorry mate, you're not going to be able to use your CD's in the Xbox, unless you make a pot tweaking, in which case the drive will die after like a year or so.

OpenXBOX is just a blank chip the you flash with the bios of your choice. You'll still be using whatever the best chips bios is around, which atm is X-Ecutor or EvoX.

It's quite funny I see people on other forums saying that the x-ecutor is crap, yet when they're asked what chip they are using they say "OpenXBOX with the x-ecutor bios". If the chip is so crap, then why u using their bios fools??

oh so openxbox is blank...so basically its a chip that u can "flash" any kind of chip u want on it...hmm...maybe when a new chip comes out i can use that on an openxbox chip cause i dont think u can upgrade an excuter

and have u guys heard of the xodus or known as teh martix chip...any info on that chip...apparently that martix chip is one tat doesnt require soldering and its easy to upgrade the bios...maybe i should get that martix chip...cuase it seems like an openxbox but non solder...any info on that chip yet?

It looks like the only retailer atm is Easy Buy 2000, seems a bit suspicious, but then again I was thinking the same about OpenBox.
