Signal on N80IE on Three network

I am having problems with my signal, this happens a lot, almost every call. I think the prob lays with the network rather than the phone.

During calls (both incomming and outgoing I think) I can get a period in which the call goes blank, I cannot hear the other person even though I have signal. This blankness is permanent until I end the call and call back

I am on a Nokia N80 upgraded to IE and running latest FW, had this problem on all FW's.

id try another phone before you blame the network m8, definately sounds more likely to be the phone than the network.

Im on three and on n80 IE and its not something ive seen before

Well I have had numerous signal problems with Three ovwer the past 3 or 4 years of being with them on over half a dozen phones and over 10 phones when youi nclude replacements. Hmmm, just owndered if its common but apparently not, will try another phone sometime.
