You can watch the launch of Eutelsat W5 satellite from Cape Canaveral. The event will be broadcast on November 19 (the launch window will be opened from 22:38 to 23:49 UTC) from Hotbird 6 satellite. The channel with SID 4901 (instead of channel HB CH.2 in the Telespazio package) using 11179H/27500 transponder with FEC 3/4.
The Eutelsat W5 satellite is built by Alcatel Space Industries on the Spacebus 3000 platform. It carries 24 Ku-band transponders, which can be configured in one fixed widebeam (coverage for East Europe, Central Asia, and India) and two steerable for all accessible zones (especially for Southeast Asia) spotbeams. The satellite weights over 3000 kg at launch and offers 6 kW of power with a design lifetime exceeding 12 years.
The launch was due to launch on November 16 and is now postponed until November 19.
