    Default How to disable Windows automatic updates??

    Just got myself an (entirely slow) Internet connection. Everytime I log on, I get this annoying message to automatically update Windows. I don't want to do this, as I have a slow connection and stuff. Can I disable this???

    hmm i used to just push "no" or "no and dont ask me again" and it wouldnt ask me anymore....but hey actually u could just press yes cuz windows doesnt update THAT lot and anyway those updates help in someway...dont they? lol

    Depends on OS...
    In xp...
    right click on my computer... go to auto updates... shut it off...

    In Win 2000..
    Its in control panel.. auto updates... turn it off
