SOCUM should be nuked ??

Cannot finish the 1st level because of freezing and the controller locks up randomly and whatever the action the man is doing it just continues doing that ie: if u are tuning the man around and the controller freezes your man just keeps turning forever and u have to reset the ps2 this seems to occur randomly on the first level anywhere between 10 seconds in and 10 minutes in so far i have attempted this lvl around 12 times and have experienced random crazy crashes every time, i have ps2 v.5 with messiah and am using the Kalisto proper rip(yeah right ),has anyone got any solutions to play this game and stop it crashing using the kal rip,except of course for the obvious buy the original that likes to get rolled out on every post.

u aint alone, i got both versions the Kali one freezes, the other one seems fine, but i have not got far enough in the game to test properly as it aint my type of game

Yep, the kalisto and soulps2 rips freeze the same way for me man...so shitty....probably will havta buy somethin unless there's some other way

yeah my kalisto proper rip also froze on the first level when i entered the room to destroy all the communications stuff. Haven't bothered to reset it and try it again though.

Sounds like yet another case of someone that needs to try burning slower.

And before anyone says it, I don't give a fuck if you've burnt 100 disks at 24x and they work fine.
Depending on your ps2 model and the game in question, speed *is* an issue.

soulps2 ver never freezes but sound probs. kal ver freezes a lot but sound ok, you decide. oh ya i cant get either to work online.tmb and tony online ok but not socom.

i dont have tested this rip but i have always burned at 4x on verbatium disc(metal azo and not super azo because they are very different).my ps2 is a pal v6 with messiah.maybe is nukked or you have burned at a wrong sped...try to burn at 4x,it takes very time but its the perffect spedd to burn games(for me)
