    Default Dead Xbox? Help!?

My Xbox is coming up with the "Your Xboxb requires service" screen... my mod chip has been installed for a few months.. nothing has changed, it just started doing it... I get NO service codes... I've even unplugged the DVD and harddrive... still no service codes... just the light blinking red...

Anyone have ANY suggestions or ideas as to what the problem may be?

That's what I thought, so I removed the Modchip entirely a few minutes ago... still same thing...

    you broke a trace.
remember when you check traces you must scrap{lightly] the protective coating to get to the conductor. check trace on point 9

If it were a broken track/bad solder joint then surely it woudn't boot at all and he would just have red/green?

Sounds like a hd problem - maybe it's just died.
