8310 problem ??

a mate has just chucked me an 8310........press the power on ,leds come on,lights come on,no output 2 screen, press power off nothin happens, have to take out battery 2 power down ......................any know of this fault?????

*edit* 4got to say.........no water damage and not been dropped and was still in credit

prob a bad attempt at upgrading firmware or unblocking, u prob need to re try and flash it back to the original state,

Em, or one of the mods on here should sort you out with some info.

what network is it on?

think it was on o2.............can u get a virgin flash or a repair flash for an 8310?????

as far as i know it has`nt been tampered with.....thats y he chucked it my way

Hi,

It won't be a dodgy flash I don't think, as not many people have DCT-4 flashers (you were thinking of DCT-3 guys).
My first guess was it's been dropped, and so could be pretty much anything! The best advice would be to take it to Nokia for repair or replacement. It will most likely be in warranty so you're ok (PM me your IMEI if you want me to check warranty).
