Help ReadyNas Duo Disappointment What Firewire Nas?

Evening chaps I've just bought a 1TB ReadyNas Duo for backing up my RAW photo files to.

I've just shot a wedding and have noticed that the file import to the drive via Lightroom is very slow. Is this normal or is it just one of the limitations of the drive? Should I have gone the Firewire route? If so can anyone recommend any good firewire housings that I could put the drives into?

    Many Thanks for any suggestions,

    dEVS!

The software you use to create/import any kind of file has fuck all to do with the transfer speed to your ReadyNAS, what matters (primarily) is how the drive is connected to your network/PC.
Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it

I save any work on to my pc first then transfer it for storage onto the NAS.If somethings on the nas and i want to muck about with it , I copy it to pc first then work on it and copy back.
