how can i save a dvd (movie) to hd?

is thee a way to do this?, it would be nice to be able to do something like this, especially if you are like me and try to avoid late fees at all costs.

um i doubt you would be able to.. maybe if the system was modded to allow it..

but if i am right there are protections on the dvd itself that would prevent it from happening...

any device that could record movies (ie VCR+DVD combo units) that could copy dvd -> other sources, has to comply to copywright rules and regulations. i have a combo unit and it wont copy protected dvds to vhs..

thats what in your combo drive and the second they came on teh amrket you could modify them to get rid of it. As for the protection on copying a dvd to xbox hardrive it will take up like half to all or your harddrive adn take a long time just to get it on there but maybe if someone could be bothered you could make an image of the movie then play it or something like that. Or dude if you wanted to get a modchip that removes the macrovison when playing from your xbox and hook it up to your vcr and record it to a video. at least that way you can have a copy of it if you need it.
