Has Nintendo defeated us? - Has it produced the only NON pirateable console? - because to me it certainly looks like it - rumours are abound that Echelon and Kalisto are on their way to cracking the gamecube but the console has been out for ages now and still no sign. Unless Hong Kong can come out with a "Wildcard" alike add-on, or we can utilise mini-dvdr once the protection has been defeated then i reckon we are in for a long wait. - No Flames either - its just my opinion

well , just remember how long it has taken b4 the PS2 got cracked ...
remember also that it first was hacked with the help of the gameshark , which is not yet available for the GC ( worldwide i mean ) .
notice also that the PS2 media was well known ( cd and DVD , nothing new , simple file system .. ) , when GC file system is kindda tricky to understand ...
GC has some sort of optical barcode reading to auth the medium , and this has to be cracked b4 anything ...
that are some of the reasons that slow down the modchip activity on GC , and another point : from reliable sources , once PS2 and Xbox will be totally hacked ( ps2 is , already , xbox is close to be ) , the whole scene will head up to GC cracking , as some ppl are already trully working on it ...
the first step of GC cracking will obviously be the release of the freeloader , that's certainly why nintendo wants to ensure it doesn't contain any backdoor to bypass medium auth ...

but even if the GC remain as a unhacked game system , i'll still buy it for the incoming games , like zelda , mario , fzero ... revival powah

is there noway of emulating gc games ? the image at one time or another has came off a pc so surely u can hack it and split it into emu files of some sort

emulating is such a complex process that it is no solution :
to emulate a system , you've gotta fully understand its functionment .. and if you understand this , you'll find rather quickly how to hack it ...
