Default +rw or -r/-rw what do you have / use

this was brought up time and again, it seems there is a massive hype towards trying to get people to use the more expensive (and technicly able to lock out copies) +rw format some people are now asking about +rw drives, so just post here if you have a dvd burner or if you get dvd's from someone what type of discs you use.

maxxxeee, it would have been helpfull if you could have told everyone you were on +r +rw and what made you make your choice, rather than just voting.

I currently use an A03 so -R/-RW it is...

Bought the drive at PC World at the start of the year when they were just £299 in the Boxing Day sales...

Wouldn't mind one of those new Sony drives so I could keep my options open in the case I ever did need to burn something onto +R media but when it comes down to it I won't pay a premium if it costs much more than the A05 - my biggest decider is going to be whether it fits into my Mac or not....

    I use a Phillips DVDRW228 which can burn DVD+R/+RW.

I must say that the +R/+RW is alot more compatible with a wider range of hardware for playback (DVD/Xbox/PS2).

I bought Pioneer DVD-R/-RW 104 cause it was so chep here in Sweden, 3395:- it´s about £30. And i have only burnt ONE DVD movie, Region 2. And it´s not working in my X-Box PAL/Region 2.

So if anyone have any idé why? Message me!

Well I wanted to make sure I was set, so I have the A04 Pioneer and the HP 200i. But its rare if I use the HP 200i, due to the fact that the media is so much more expensive.

Note: My XBOX reads BOTH +r/-R media

Cheapest I've found are www.cdevolutions.co.uk. They are selling them for £13.99 for spindle of 10 (£1.39 a disc). This media will write at 2.4x.

The +R/+RW media prices seem to be dropping very quickly.
