30 deg West
At present got 80cm Dish and monoblock for Astra and Hotbird
Now with Seca slowly going I was thinking of moving over to 30deg West with a Magic cam and fun card.
But reading the posts it would appear that Nagravision needs updating every couple of days.. is this true ?
on 19.2 nagra needs updating every day
It seems to vary, at the moment the codes are changing every day or two, but as long as you have net access and a programmer it's not a major problem
There is I believe a file called Autoroll that can be used with a Nagra cam and possibly a MM, which autoupdates.

PS. Beware, there are some receivers which do not happily accommodate the MM
Yes i have the same as Ricky, and have been thinking of getting motorised so as to get 30w i have a Humax 5400, so will i be able to get nagravision with just the fun card?
Yes, but you'll probably have to update the card daily, not too much of a chore as there are some excellent films available there at the moment.

where could i find some info about programming nagra cards? and should i get a dedicated nagra cam or a multiple standard cam?
It will all depend on how long these channels stay with the same encryption, to use the Autoroll files you need either a Magic or Nagra CAM, you should be able to find these type of files on Phill's site and Toecutters, but there are also many other sources.

will the magic cam also decode sega/seca2/irdeto? (i know seca2 has yet to be hacked, but it may eventually, or i might end up buying card/cards)
btw m8, one more thing, do you have a link for Phill's site please? I checked out toecutters but it seems to be pretty dead over there, no posts since july in the nagra section. cheers
The Nagra files don't appear to be quite as common as the DS9 and Fun files, if you are using a Magic Module or Humax patched you can use the DS9 or 6 in 1 Fun files.
