why is it so fuckin hard to just make a napster 1:1 clone and label it fagster or whatever?

I tried WinMX ..its homosexual because not once did a download even start...a search resusts in tons of shit but nothing is downloadable...because of retards online inc.
btw i even used it with that extra server crap.
I tried edonkey...edonkey is a good idea except if you grab movies it creates 15 GB temp files...and its slow as fuck because once again retards online inc. are allowed to set their download speed fast and their up speed to nothing.
Direct Connect would be cool if it had better support for passive use and without all the gay powertrippin hub ops from retards online inc. also could do with out fakesharers who are from same organisation and wtf is up with "you need to share atleast 50 GB on this hub"..retarded.

The only way to use WinMX, when it comes to music (which btw is the *only* purpose for which it is somewhat useful), is to find files which several users have, and put them on "Auto-Complete" and just have it running. Then, some day, it will come to you.

at the end of the day, i liked AG, because when bored / drunk / both , i could just double click, type a band a friend had mentioned, et voila a screen full of that bands music. not a load of garbage and mislabled shit, but generally a pretty decent selection of stuff. then also suggestions to other stuff. within 10mins i could flag 499 songs and goto bed, wake up in the morning, have most of em on my harddisk then delete the crap.

i liked that.
sure site that carry mp3 rls' are ok, but unless ur on one with a real deep archive, your fucked if u want something that hasn't been ripped in a long time. of course, your guaranteed fast new releases and in good quality, but theres always a downside.

I tried soulseek and its pretty good for trance/techno/electronic shit. The only thing is sometimes while running it, I'll get like 100 zonealarm alerts in a span of 5 minutes. dunno wtf that is

Shit, yah I remember when Edonkey2000 used to be the best P2P out there. I started using it about 2 months after it came out, which would be exactly 1 year and 10 months ago. Anyway I got crazy ass speeds for a few months using edonkey. I maxxed out my friends dorm's 10mbit line. I was getting 800 k/s with about 20 files put together. One file got up to 500 k/s by itself. Anyway after it was out about a year the speeds decreased rapidly because the lamers came on the scene and decided to limit their upload speeds as much as they could and to not share their files they downloaded. Now I max out at around 30-40k/s with about 50 files downloading. R.I.P. Edonkey

Oh and I forgot to add that overnet sucks. Sure its cool that its a serverless network but the download speeds and availability of files are even worse than edonkey. Maybe if they made a better upload/download ratio it could fix it. I think swamp and that other programmer guy should of just focused on edonkey instead of overnet

i use kazaa now and it really sucks cause everything is mislabeled shit. i guess i'm just lazy to get something new and i have most of the songs i want anyways.
