when you say without remote and cables does that effectively mean it doesn't work? How much would it cost for the remote and cables?

no idea, when you plug it in it shows everything as normal but no signal. Not sure whats wrong with it b ut maybe one of you techies could sort it out for yourselfs. All i have is the actual digibox
