    Default Google Maps Street View

Since 95% of the UK went on street view from yesterday has anyone been on it much?

A mate of mine from work saw the camera car come down his street so went outside decided to get in on the shot :

Was looking at my street earlier and a few places I grew up in as well.. cracking panoramics.

I'm looking at my house now, but it must have been taken a while ago, blossoms on the trees and the buggers were cutting up the road.

Now to go on the prowl.

Edit: Must have been taken in the holidays as the school car parks are all empty.

My house has been on it for ages, but nice to see the pretty rural roads across the UK added. They have pretty views to look at now.

The Lecht Road, I like the Lecht Road.
    http://maps.google.co.uk/?ie=UTF8&ll...2,320.76,,0,18

Entrance to the best road in the UK, with suitable warnings and sheep, which make a mockery of the name (Bealach na Ba means Pass of the Cattle). I think it's the second highest mountain pass in the UK (after the Cairnwell Pass at Glenshee), and one of the highest roads in the UK in general.

Here's one of the hairpin bends it warns you about http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&so...71.34,,0,13.24

My family lived in this area in Victorian times, the fact that they left upsets me greatly. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&so...59.977276&z=16

Fucks sake, that comment has been posted for ages now and nobody has made the obligatory comment:

What you doing perving in school playgrounds?

On a serious note, I would guess they passed the schools in the holidays on purpose, all hell would break loose when the "you're obviously not a parent" brigade found photos of their kids on it.

Was wondering how long it would take. It was en-route from mine to the 6th form/tech college that in summer is often surrounded by short skirted young nubiles.

Does your job involve driving all over the Highlands and Islands then? I'm jealous.

Seeing more stars than I even knew existed last time I visited Skye made me realise the difference between the relatively remote countryside locations all over the UK, and the properly isolated places.

someone should start a facebook group to find her! Imagine the amount of nice ladies with grrrrrrreat legs you'd get claiming to be her!

I think the one-legged thing is where the pics are put together, if you look at big shop signs some have parts of letters missing where there's a visible join.

I looked at my kids school, and it just happened to be "play time" when the cameras have gone past. I can see my youngest daughter clear as anything, her face isnt blurred.

llyodi: I think they took it in july/august not June because if you look at the seafront, the toilets are there for the airshow and a generator in the car park. They don't put them out in June.
