Default is this safe for my 1800

my amd athlon xp 1800's cpu temp is at 47 and varies up and down, highest i have seen it is 59,

is this safe or not, i have a heatsink now, i dont know if its good or not but it has a blue fan on top, i have bought another heatsink, but touched the silver stuff on the bottom, can i still use the heatsink when the silver stuff has been touced?

so is it safe foe my cpu temp to be around the 40-50 mark?

also i have A BIG enough case, its a server case, i have 2 front fans blowing air out, one exhause fan blowing out, graphics card cooler, heatsink and the atx fan

system temp is 37 but varies

Your temps are OK. Nothing to worry about.

If you want to drop 'em a bit tho', get yourself some Artic Silver compound, clean the standard stuff off the heatsink and apply a thin layer to the CPU core.

Also, it helps to have good airflow around the case. Just having fans blow out doesn't achieve this. Make sure you've at least one decent one taking air in too.

yep u got a cool setup there mate, get ya self some AR2 like PimpMasterT says, it will drop the temp a few degrees, its just a paste, u need to put on a micro layer of it onto the cpu core, just so u cant see the writing on it, its works a treat!
