Why didnt rio see red?

ok, i'll start by saying it was a fairy tap and the other player hit the deck like a sack of shite, but......

the ref decided after some consultation that rio had comitted the foul and fifa says a foul like that gets a red card. so was this yet another example of the rules being broken by the red scum or should the ref go and ref third division games untill he learns the rules of the game?

i was @the BayArena last night. during the match i didn't c anything that would justify a red card. afterwards i saw the highlights on TV n gotta agree on u point ABCMan - the ref had to send Rio off - but he didn't. that's soccer bro

/btw - the "victim" from Leverkusen is quite a pussy. he's well known in the german league for such a behaviour. just lame imho :signs:

sorry? i said the kraut went down like a sack of shite from a fairy tap. i tried my hardest NOT to slag scum off. the ref made the decision that rio was in the wrong (still dont think he was) and under fifa rules he had no choice but to give rio a red card, that is the rules not my wishes.

The only thing i said was why didnt he send rio off as he was obliged to do, it seemed yet another case of pro scum favouritism.


i'll say it again, rio should not have been given a card at all, but fifa state that if a card is given for a "foul" like that it must be a red card, see its very simple, and not having a go (although with rio off the field, the chances are that it would have been a tie).

Thomas Brdaric jumps backwards into, and swings his elbow into Rio's chest - a Red card offense but not spotted.

Rio gives Thomas a slap back.

Yet again, the Man U player has to put up with all the media attention and critical hysteria because Man U are such a big club and all non supporters are jealous.

rofl - if u'd send Brdaric off for such a "swing", you'd have to send 8 players per game off the turf. it's a common behaviour nowadways - just check how Beckham permantly swings his elbows while tryin' to get sum headers
