sorry m8 i dont know much about it, cant you tell him to contact whoever he got it off and ask them how else to test it, or maybe replace it, have u asked this in the homebrew section, worth a shot.

rishy just found this for ya m8, someone else had the exact same problem, here is what someone said to him

set your PC lpt port in the PC bios to "standard / spp" connect the cable between pc and xbox bios chip...

power on pc, power on xbox, when both have completed boot up - start bios flash program which came with mod. you should now see "bios chip found in the bottom window".

select open and point too your name.bin bios file, load it then prog it.

you should do a chip erase first, just to be sure its blank!!!

    hope this helps

Ive just got my box back, and have done all the above. The programmer is verifing the write, but the machine is not starting up with the bios. I know this because Im using the EvoX2.5 which changes the colours etc. (I am assuming this works on PAL machines.)

Any ideas why it isnt working? Or does it have to go back to the shop?

This may be a stupid question, but does the EvoX2.5 actually work with the PC-BioXX?

to be honest m8 i dont know, but if its just a normal bios image like all the others then i dont see why it wouldnt, at the comp fair they have evo-x chips that they have programmed themselves, so id say yes, but im not sure m8.

one of the techno wizzards need to answer this one for ya m8 as this is something i have never done.

    sorry
