Anti-mod code finally implemented?

A developer (from Vivendi - LOTR at a guess) says in response to problems with the game freezing:
'Have any of you installed a Mod chip in your Xbox? I know there is some new security stuff from Microsoft that went into the latest batch of games (those that went to manufactureing after September 15th or so) that is supposed to prevent games from operating on modded systems. '
looks like they are trying what sony did
remember sony tried it long ago and it didnt work for them, so i cant see it being a big problem the genius's who make the mods will find a way around it

if this is anything like Sony's implimentation then it will cause just as many problems for non-modded systems as it does on those with mods.
projectx release is ****** and it does freeze.
Three options.
1. modchip protection
2. bad rip
3. Some originals does this anyway and needs to be recalled.
I read somewhere that Lord of the rings has protection, but I aint got it, so I dont know for sure !
don't think it does mate as it has been released as a backup....
has anyone here actually played lord of the rings yet, as the guy i get my games from has just told me he didnt get it because there was supposed to be a problem with it, then i told him its supposed to be protected.

projectx rel doesnt work properly period. i think its a bad pack now personally like brucey was.
Yup it is a bad release, think it just needs repacking, like chase
not just like chase. Theres some dirs ****ed up
